If you answer yes to the above question, then you need Jenny In Neverland’s new guide which will help you pitch to brands.
As a blogger just breaking into the sphere of brands and turning a passion into a business, it can be really daunting to know where to begin. Thankfully, this guide makes it seem less stressful and gives plenty of helpful places to start. A perfect addition for any beginner blogger or experience bloggers library, A Beginners Guide To Pitching To Brands takes you through making yourself visually ready and what you need to win your pitches.
I was kindly gifted this guide by Jenny, for my honest review.
Why Pitch To Brands?
Pitching to brands can help you to take your blog or business up a new level. It can increase your exposure as well as aiding you to earn more money. You shouldn’t just wait for brands or deals to come to you. Offering your services to brands that you think would benefit from working with you, can get you out there. While you may not always succeed, you may plant a seed in their head to consider you in the future. It’s like putting the feelers out there for a job you’re interested in, showing what you offer.
What Does The Pitching To Brands Guide Include?
It’s full of amazing information for beginners to even experienced bloggers. There is always something new to be learned when it comes to blogging. And I (likely similar to many) sometimes have no idea where to look. This guide is mixed with information, worksheets and real-life examples. Jenny takes you through your Author Page and Pitching to What To Include and Media Kits; Chasing Payments and Package Deals, as well as so much more.
For me, the media kit and real examples were my favourites, giving me clear ideas on what I need to focus my energy on. Mine is still a work-in-progress, but I’ve finally begun crafting it together after several months of panicking over it.
Would I Recommend ‘A Beginners Guide To Pitching To Brands’?
Yes. (She says with her chest)
While I was gifted my copy, I would have bought this regardless. I have loved Jenny’s blogging tips in the past and knew if someone would confidently guide me through a process, it would be her.
I wanted to share my thoughts on my blog because I truly believe this can help anyone (like myself) who has no idea how to get started and begin pitching. After running my blog for under a year, I’ve begun learning how to operate and handle making my dreams possible. This guide, and all the worksheets, have even helped me re-think my pitches for my YA novel. It has reframed my focus, making it think more logically with each step covered in the guide.
It has all given handy hints and tips on handling packages, too, something I hadn’t even thought of. That’s what’s so great about the guide. Working through each thing, one at a time, helps reframe your focus, making it seem achievable instead of something which seems overwhelming.
What Have I Learnt?
I’ve learnt to be bold and brave when I pitch to brands. This guide has given me the confidence, and structure, to put forward some of my plans. Even without a complete media kit, I contacted someone in the hopes of working with them for a book release (something I hadn’t done previously). The clear guidance has given me belief in myself that pitching isn’t out of reach. If anything, to stop waiting around for things to happen and grab them.
This guide has provided a step-by-step process in helping me prepare and know what to expect when it comes to working with brands. It doesn’t matter what your niche is, you can apply what you learnt for anything you cover on your blog.
